‘Cho Kyu-singed 2 goals’ South Korea lose 2-3 to Ghana… round of 16 red light

Korea lost 2-3 to Ghana in the second leg of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Group H group stage.

The Korean national football team, led by coach Bento, pushed Ghana hard from the start of the first half at the Al Rayyan Education City Stadium in Qatar at 10:00pm on the 28th. South Korea’s unilateral attacks continued. However, Korea failed to score a goal despite repeated chances. Following the last game against Uruguay, no effective shots were made in this game. In the 19th minute of the first half, Son Heung-min tried to kick over the front after seeing a cross from the right, but unfortunately he did not hit his feet.

Time passed without hitting the goal, and Korea conceded a goal to Mohamed Salisu in the 24th minute of the first half after a free kick by Ghana. This is Ghana’s opening goal. In the process, the possibility of a handball foul was raised as it was hit by Andre Ayu, but the referee recognized the goal as it was, assuming it was not intentional.

After that, Korea gave the initiative to Ghana and finally allowed Mohamed Quds, who received a cross from Jordan IU, to score a header in the 35th minute of the first half.

Korea ended the first half without scoring a comeback goal for the rest of the first half.

In the second half, coach Bento substituted Na Sang-ho for Jung Woo-young (Freiburg). Afterwards, Kwon Chang-hoon was replaced by Lee Kang-in.

Following the last game, Lee Kang-in, who showed an impressive display immediately after being substituted, took the ball from the defensive end and connected a sharp cross pass to Cho Kyu-seong, who Cho Kyu-seong scored goal with a header.

After that, Kim Jin-soo, who received Son Heung-min’s incisive pass, connected another cross pass with Cho Kyu-sung, and Cho Kyu-sung scored an extra goal with a header to return the game to square one.

But Ghana ran away again. Connecting the ball from the side, Ghana passed the ball in front of the Korean goal post, and Mohamed Quds, who scored a goal in the first half, scored an extra goal.
