Choi Seo-eun (26, Seoul/USA Pratt Institute Fine Art Painting Department) won the honor of ‘2021 Miss Korea Contest’.

On the 22nd, the final stage of the ’65th Miss Korea Contest’ was broadcast worldwide through the official YouTube channel, Naver TV, and China’s BILI BILI channel.

Choi Seo-eun is the winner of the 2021 Miss Korea honor. After the awards ceremony, Choi Seo-eun joked, “I think she might be the oldest Miss Korea ever,” and said, “This year, I think we’ve chosen people who are trendy and have many things to show.

I want to show the charm of Miss Korea that fits the times.”

Seo-eun Choi, who once dreamed of becoming a curator, said, “I have a lot of interest in acting, so I also want to become an actor.”

Kim Su-jin (24, Department of Fashion Design, Keimyung University, Gyeongbuk) and Min-su Choi (22, Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, Department of Communication, University of Illinois, U.S.) were awarded the Sun (善) award. Jeong Do-hee (22, Seoul Dongduk Women’s University Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment) and Jo Min-ji (23, Jeju-Ewha Women’s University Department of Economics) took the beauty category.

The ‘2021 Miss Korea Contest’ was hosted by Lee Seung-guk, a broadcaster, and Jeong Da-hye, the 2017 Miss Korea winner.

The competition was held without spectators and pre-recorded. A fashion show of 40 finalists, dress walking, and singer Ailee’s celebration stage were held.

The Miss Korea pageant is changing according to the times, such as abolition of swimsuit judging from 2019. This year, the camp was omitted to reflect the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic.
