Cholera: No change to travel procedures in Kuwait

Kuwait City | The Ministry of Health has said that there are currently no changes in travel procedures due to the reported cases of cholera in Kuwait. Officials said the situation is calm and under control, but the ministry is ready to deal with any emergency. Ministry sources also asked those traveling to countries where the disease is common to follow health precautions.

Travelers to these countries should be careful to drink only safe bottled water and avoid unsafe food items. The ministry advised to eat only well cooked food served hot and avoid milk and related products. Cholera was confirmed for a Kuwaiti national who returned from Iraq last Friday.
