Hyundai Motor Group has decided to create 46,000 youth jobs by 2024. The scale includes the number of directly employed manpower, human resource development, and start-up support in relation to the future mobility business being promoted at the group level.

Prime Minister Boo-gyeom Kim and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun met on the 22nd at Hyundai Motor Studio Goyang in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do to announce Hyundai Motor Group’s participation in the ‘Youth Hope ON’ project together. Youth Hope ON is a youth job security project promoted by the Prime Minister’s Office, and Samsung, SK, LG, KT, and POSCO have participated since September. The Prime Minister’s Office said on the same day that Hyundai Motor Company was named as the 6th participating company, and the number of jobs promised through Youth Hope ON in the business world increased to about 179,000.

Hyundai Motor Group plans to hire 30,000 new workers in future businesses such as robotics, future aviation mobility (AAM), hydrogen and autonomous driving for three years. Hyundai Motor Group and Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation provide internships and industry-academia cooperation programs to foster 16,000 talents and support start-ups.

Chairman Jung said, “There are many new businesses that are starting, so we will encourage more young people to participate in that area. “Hyundai Motor Group will make a lot of effort so that industry-university cooperation will allow the company to demonstrate its capabilities right away.” Hyundai Motor started the ‘H-Mobility Class’, a talent development program last year. The H-Mobility Class is a training course that Hyundai Motor Company is conducting to foster talents specialized in eco-friendly vehicles such as electric vehicles and hydrogen electric vehicles.

Prime Minister Kim said, “In the Hyundai Motor Group, not only automobiles, but also steel and construction, all 41 companies of the group participated. “Hyundai Motor Group promised the most jobs,” he said.
