Citizens repel riots in the Netherlands to strengthen measures against new viruses

On the night of the 19th in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, citizens who opposed the tightening of regulations on measures against the new coronavirus protested and developed into a riot.

Police fired menacingly and responded with a water cannon.

Protesters threw stones and fireworks and set fire to police vehicles.

A protest demonstration also occurred in The Hague on the 20th. Participants set fires on their bicycles and fireworks at the police.

MTF members on horseback tried to disperse the demonstrators. At least seven people were detained by the authorities.
