During the election process, Chungcheongnam-do Governor Kim Tae-heum made a promise to cancel the adjustment target area, and on June 27, he met with Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Won Hee-ryong as the president-elect and asked for cancel of the modification target area.

The provincial government also established a policy advisory group for the stabilization of the housing market and said that the three cities met the requirements for the release of areas subject to modification, and requested a release from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 16th
