Commentary on this event by Marc Márquez MotoGP 2022 Aragon GP | Interesting Bike News

After contact with Fabio Quartararo, Marc Marquez contacted Takaaki Nakagami and forced them to retire. It seems that Fabio said it was a racing event, but it can be said that two people who were close to each other shortly after the start connected in an unfortunate way. Fabio will be able to take part in the Japanese GP without any major injuries, but Nakagami appears to have injured his right ring finger and little finger.

Fabio, I feel sorry for Nakagami.

Marc Marquez

“I’m sorry for what happened, but first and foremost I’m sorry Fabio Quartararo because he’s a rider in contention for the championship. It’s a racing event.”

“I had a good start, but in Turn 3 in front of me there was contact between Aleix and Enea.

“I think Fabio was going to overtake me in Turns 4 and 5. It was very bad luck, but I was in front and I wanted that kind of contact. No, then I had a strange feeling in Turn 5 and the problem came on turn 7.”

“Some people misunderstand that I ran into Nakagami, but there’s no way they would. When I switched on the rear device at the start of Turn 7, Fabio’s parts got caught in the back .I locked it up and I could feel the bike drifting to the left and slowing down.”

“At this point, I felt something was wrong and I had to retire. I feel sorry for Nakagami too. I really wanted to finish the race, because that was my original goal, and anyway I feel really bad for Fabio. “
