The Cross-Strait College Student E-Sports Competition is a key brand event and a characteristic exchange activity with Taiwan established by Jiangsu, with the theme of “competition on the same stage, ‘electricity’ bright future”, and is committed to providing a platform for young college students from both sides of the strait to exchange feelings and learn skills.

The 6th Cross-Strait College Student E-Sports Competition Finals was hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province and the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau. 60 eSports enthusiasts from colleges and universities participated.

Fan Jinhua, the second-level inspector of Jiangsu Sports Bureau and vice president of Jiangsu Sports Federation, said in his speech: “The cross-strait college student e-sports competition has been held for five consecutive years. Over the years, we have witnessed batch after batch of e-sports competitions. College students on both sides of the strait have met and established friendship through sports – e-sports. The brand influence and social benefits of the event have been widely recognized by all walks of life. At present, the e-sports competition for college students across the strait has become an important part of promoting sports exchanges between the two sides of the strait under the epidemic channel.”

“The 6th Cross-Strait College Student E-Sports Competition is a good exchange platform for young people from both sides of the strait. I hope that young people from both sides of the strait can grow better in the exchange.” said Liu Fufu, secretary-general of Taiwan New Taipei City Sports Federation.

In the finals, the Nanjing University of Finance and Economics team and the Longhua University of Science and Technology team jointly entered the Hero League game and chose the game characters. During the competition, the fingers of the contestants flew and the keys on the keyboard kept rising and falling. Li Wanru, a member of the Nanjing University of Finance and Economics team, said that he and his teammates entered the finals today after going through the group stage, quarterfinals, and semi-finals the day before. “In addition to technology, teamwork and the spirit of never giving up in e-sports games are also very important.” Li Wanru said, “Nowadays, young people prefer to play e-sports games and communicate through the common hobbies of college students on both sides of the strait. , is a very good form.”

After exciting and fierce competition, the Longhua University of Science and Technology team finally won the championship, and the Nanjing University of Finance and Economics team won the runner-up.
