The Rajya Sabha Secretariat has reported that Elamaram Kareem Marshall was assaulted. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu amid serious allegations and the meeting came as both sides demanded action.

The Opposition had lodged a complaint with the Speaker against the manner in which the Insurance Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha yesterday.
