Complaint that the patient’s death was due to injection of drugs | Kozhikode Medical College

Sarojini, 59, of Farooq College, Azhinilam, was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. They were admitted to the first ward on Saturday due to kidney related disease. He was first treated in the emergency department. Sarojini’s relatives say she was not given the first injection because she was found to be allergic to certain drugs. He was later transferred to the ward.

It was reported yesterday morning that there was nothing wrong with the ultrasound scan. Sarojini complained that she was upset after being given an injection from the ward in the evening. Doctors immediately rushed Sarojini to the intensive care unit but could not save her. Her daughter MS Bindu lodged a complaint with the Medical College Police and hospital authorities regarding Sarojini’s death.

Sarojini has been given only the medicines and injections she has been given since the day she was admitted to the hospital and no medicines have been changed, hospital officials said. Sarojini’s husband is the late Sreedharan. Children: Binu, Biju and Bindu.
