Consumer complaints about indemnity insurance products have tripled over the past five years.
According to the data received from the Korea Consumer Agency on the 30th by Rep. Among the counseling cases received over the past five years, the most common type is misconduct. It accounted for 2700 out of a total of 8610 cases. A typical example is when the insurance company asks for additional documents after claiming the loss premium, but does not delay or fails to pay the insurance money. Following this, a total of 2,477 cases of non-performance of contracts and 243 cases of dissatisfaction due to prices and payments.
