Phil Mickelson (52, USA) will participate in the Reeve Golf International Series, which is supported by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, with an advance payment of 30 million dollars (about 37.5 billion won).

The Telegraph, a British media outlet, reported on the 28th (Korean time) that Mickelson has signed a contract to compete in all eight competitions in the Reeve International Series.

The Live International Series will be held for three days from June 9th at Centurion Golf Club near London, England. After that, eight tournaments will be held in the United States, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia. The total prize money for each tournament is $20 million, and the prize money for the winner is $4 million. Even if you finish last, you get $120,000. Competing with no cut-offs, the 48 players share the prize money, so you can get more prize money than the PGA Tour.

Mickelson has already been on the side of Rib Golf, which was established to counter the PGA Tour, and has also been criticized by public opinion for remarks criticizing the PGA Tour. After that, he issued an apology and went on an indefinite break.

In addition to Mickelson, Reeve International is expected to include Sergio Garcia (Spain), Lee Westwood (England), Ian Poulter (England) and Louis Ustheisen (South Africa). The PGA Tour has announced that it will permanently expel players participating in the Reeve Golf International Tournament.
