The Copa America was scheduled to take place in Argentina and Colombia. Columbia has been excluded from hosting the South American Football Federation due to anti-government protests. Colombia was eliminated on May 20. Argentina later announced that they would be hosting the tournament alone. The tournament runs from July 13 to July 10 next month. The federation said it was changing venues due to the spread of Kovid in Argentina and is currently planning to hold matches in the United States or Chile. The federation president said the new venue would be decided soon. Brazil won the 2019 Copa Amrica in Brazil.
