Steffi Xavier is now the director. Kanni’s directorial venture is lining up Steffi Xavier, Rajisha Vijayan and Sharafuddin, who are costume designers of more than 65 films in Malayalam cinema, in the lead roles. The shooting of the film has started at Viala near Kumilangad, Kottayam.
After a special prayer, actor Vijayaraghavan performed the switch for Steffi’s directorial debut, while Sharafuddin and Rajeesh Vijayan gave the first clap. Biju Sopanam acted in the first shot. At the age of twenty-three, Steffy entered Malayalam cinema as a costume designer. Steffy became a director after designing costumes for more than sixty-five films, including Guppy, which won the State Film Award.
The film was written by Mahesh Gopal and Jai Vishnu. Vijayaraghavan, Saiju Kurup, Altaf Salim, Bindu Panicker and many others are acting in the film. Hisham Abdulwahab is the music director.
