Covid-19: Salvador promotes bivalent vaccination campaign this Saturday (18)

This Saturday (18), from 8 am to 2 pm, the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) will carry out another joint effort to apply the bivalent vaccine against Covid-19 in Salvador. The strategy will include the elderly aged 60 years or older and immunocompromised people aged 12 years or older. In all, the structure will have three fixed points in places with large circulation of people, two drive-thrus and the 5th Health Center, in Barris.

Immunocompromised people who did not start or who did not complete their primary (basic) scheme with the three doses of the monovalent Covid-19 vaccine are able to receive a dose of the bivalent vaccine after the second dose of the monovalent vaccine. The bivalent vaccine can be used to complete the primary scheme after a minimum interval of eight weeks from the second monovalent dose. And the booster dose can also be performed with the bivalent with a minimum interval of four months from the last bivalent dose.

Immunization of other publics will be carried out upon confirmation of the minimum indication criterion, which is having taken at least two doses of monovalent vaccines (Coronavirus, Astrazeneca/Fiocruz, Pfizer or Janssen) and the four-month interval from the last dose received, which may be the two doses of the primary schedule or any booster dose. In addition, it will be necessary to present an identification document with a photo, SUS card and confirmation of the name on the list on the SMS website.

March D-Day Woman – In addition to offering the bivalent vaccine, the joint effort extends to almost 100 health units that will be open this Saturday (18) for March Women’s D-Day. The mobilization will bring together specialized services for the female public and also the multivaccination scheme, including the dose against Covid-19 for children and adults in all participating units. Just go to the location and update the vaccination booklet.
