Covid 19 Variant: Kovid variant; Kuwait bans flights from nine countries

Kuwait bans flights from nine African countries in the wake of the new Kovid 19 variant. The Civil Aviation Department made the announcement on Saturday. Flights from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zambia and Malawi. Prohibited in Kuwait.

Cargo flights have been exempted from the ban. Indigenous people arriving in Kuwait from these countries are required to stay in the Institutional Quarantine for seven days. Must undergo PCR examination at the airport and on the sixth day of arrival in the country. Expatriates from banned countries will not be allowed to enter Kuwait. They can return to Kuwait after staying in other countries for 14 days.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman have also banned travelers from entering South Africa following the discovery of a new Kovid variant.

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has imposed a ban on travelers from seven African countries in the wake of the new Kovid 19 variant. The National Invasion of Sri Lanka (CATS) has also imposed a temporary curfew on travelers from the regions of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The decision will take effect from November 29. Visitors to these seven countries for 14 days will not be able to enter the UAE. They can come to the UAE after staying in other countries for 14 days. But there are exemptions for UAE citizens, diplomats and holders of golden visas. They should consider the Kovid negative result taken 48 hours before the trip. Must undergo rapid inspection at the airport. Officials said he would stay in the quarantine for 10 days and undergo a PCR check on the ninth day after entering the country.

However, the UAE does not currently ban flights to these African countries. UAE nationals are banned from traveling to these seven countries. Exemptions are available for official representatives and emergency medical and educational needs.
