Covid 19 Variant: Kovid variant; Passengers from seven countries are barred from entering the UAE

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has imposed a ban on travelers from seven African countries in the wake of the new Kovid 19 variant. The National Invasion of Sri Lanka (CATS) has also imposed a temporary curfew on travelers from the regions of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The decision will take effect from November 29. Visitors to these seven countries for 14 days will not be able to enter the UAE. They can come to the UAE after staying in other countries for 14 days. But there are exemptions for UAE citizens, diplomats and holders of golden visas. They should consider the Kovid negative result taken 48 hours before the trip. Must undergo rapid inspection at the airport. Officials said he would stay in the quarantine for 10 days and undergo a PCR check on the ninth day after entering the country.

However, the UAE does not currently ban flights to these African countries. UAE nationals are banned from traveling to these seven countries. Exemptions are available for official representatives and emergency medical and educational needs.

Saudi Arabia bans flights from seven countries

Riyadh: Flights from seven African countries have been temporarily banned in Saudi Arabia following the discovery of the Kovid variant. Services to and from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho are banned. People from these countries have to stay in another country for 14 days to enter Saudi Arabia.
