Kuwait City: In Kuwait, shopkeepers are warned that they will have to pay a fine of 5,000 dinars if employees or customers do not wear a mask. Ibrahim al-Saban, the municipality’s governor’s governorate inspector, said the law, which came into force in 2020 after Kovid, was later repealed but re-enacted in the wake of the Kovid outbreak.

Customers and mall visitors who do not wear a mask will face legal action. Employees should ask visitors to wear a mask. Institutional owners who give access to those who do not wear a mask will also have to pay a fine. Those who refuse to wear masks should not be admitted to institutions. Security guards and police can be contacted for assistance. He said legal action should be taken, including taking the offending consumer to a later police station and taking him to court.
