Mumbai: Cricketer Hardik Pandya has been arrested by customs for allegedly carrying a luxury watch worth Rs 5 crore. The incident happened when he was returning home from Dubai on Sunday after the Twenty20 World Cup. The watches, which were brought without proper documents, were seized at the Mumbai airport.

Customs officials said Hardik Pandya was unable to produce accurate documents during the investigation into the watches. Customs found that the serial number on the document in Pandya’s possession and the serial number on the watch were two.

Customs officials say the price is around Rs 5 crore. According to Pandya, the watches are worth Rs 1 crore and 80 lakh. Pandya explains that the price of one watch is Rs 1 crore and the second watch is only Rs 40 lakh. The watches are being kept in customs custody for further investigation. Pandya had earlier been subjected to similar customs procedures at the Mumbai airport.

Hardik Pandya and two friends were allegedly raped while intoxicated. Bhatti’s wife has lodged a complaint against former IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla. According to the complaint, Bhatti divorced her in 2016 but was abducted in 2019. Bhatia’s wife alleged that she had lodged a complaint with the Mumbai police in September but was not ready to register a case till November.
