Min-ji Kim (Chuncheon-si) and Ki-jeong Lee (Gangwon-do) of the Korean curling mix doubles advanced to the finals of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics qualification competition.
Kim Min-ji and Ki-jeong Lee defeated Latvia 9-7 in the 5th match of Group B of the Olympic Qualifications (OQE) held in Reywarden, Netherlands on the 8th.
Kim Min-ji and Ki-jung Kim, who have won five victories in the preliminary round, will play the final match to determine the first place in the group with the joint-leading United States (five wins) this afternoon.
Kim Min-ji and Ki-jung Lee have already advanced to the finals regardless of the results of the remaining matches. In the final, six teams will compete for two tickets to Beijing.
In this tournament, the 2nd and 3rd places in each group compete with the 2nd and 3rd places of the other groups in the final round to qualify for a play-off, and the winner will face off against the 1st place in each group.
