On the 20th, ‘International Day of Happiness’, the United Nations published the World Happiness Report.
Korea’s subjective happiness score was 5.9 out of 10, ranking 57th out of 137 countries surveyed.
It was ranked 35 out of 38 OECD countries, the lowest.
China was ranked 64th, behind Korea, but Japan was 47th, 10 places ahead.
The US ranks 15th.
Finland is the happiest country in the world for the sixth year in a row.
Fifteen of the top 20 countries were in Europe, followed by Denmark, Iceland and Israel.
