Daegu and Shandong defeated 4-0 and lead the ACL group… ‘I see the round of 16’

In the Asian Football Champions League, Daegu FC took the lead in the group with four goals against China’s Shandong Taishan.

Daegu defeated Shandong 4-0 in the 2022 ACL Group F Group F match held at Buri Ram Stadium, Thailand.

After a 7-0 win over Shandong in the first match, Daegu suffered a shock loss in the second match against Lion City (Singapore) 0-3. Since then, Daegu has rebounded by winning 1 win and 1 draw against the Urawa Reds of Japan, and then grabbed Shandong and continued the upward trend. Went.

In this ACL group stage, each team will play 6 games, and the first-place team in each group advances directly to the round of 16. Among the second-placed teams in each group, the top 3 teams from East Asia Group (Groups F-J) and West Asia Group (Groups A-E) Join this round of 16.

However, in the East Asian group, when deciding which team advances to the round of 16 out of 2nd place, in the case of Groups F to I, their records are compared with the lowest team.

Daegu took the lead with Jeka’s mid-range gun in the 8th minute of the match, and in the 12th minute, DF Hong Jeong-woon, who took part in the attack with Kim Jin-hyuk’s head in a corner kick, pushed the ball into the attack with his left foot from the left side of the goal area to boost momentum.

In the Group G match held at Pathum Thani Stadium in Thailand, the Jeonnam Dragons, the first K League 2 team participating in the ACL, defeated United City (Philippines) 2-0 and harvested their second win (1 draw and 2 loss).

Jeonnam, with 7 points, placed 3rd in the group behind Pathum United (Thailand, 11 points) and Melbourne City (Australia, 9 points).

Jeonnam, who could not take the lead in the remaining one game with a 4 point difference with Patum, had to hold the final match against Patum on the 30th and watch the results of another group with Melbourne City.

Jeonnam, who played United City without a goal in the first half, scored consecutive goals with a numerical advantage after Kiran Hayes, who played as the opponent’s starting striker, was sent off due to accumulated warnings in the third minute of the second half.

In the 13th minute of the second half, Plana, who took the ball from the opponent and dug into the center of the penalty area, received a later pass, and took the lead in the opening goal with a quick left-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area.

In extra time in the second half, Park In-hyuk finished off Lee Seon-geol’s left flank cross with his right foot and scored an additional goal.
