Daegu City, ‘step-by-step change of daily life’ from the 1st of next month… Enhanced quarantine measures

[대구=뉴스핌] Reporter Hyo-sun Nam = Daegu City will begin a ‘step-by-step recovery’ from the 1st of next month and strengthen measures against COVID-19.

Daegu City announced on the 30th that the existing social distancing system will be completely reorganized in accordance with the policy of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, and the reorganized system will be operated for 4 weeks.

In addition, it was decided to determine whether to implement the next stage of reorganization by comprehensively evaluating the vaccination completion rate and the capacity of the medical system for the next two weeks.

Accordingly, the city of Daegu applies the same social distance as the whole country.

However, private gatherings are allowed up to 12 people, and in restaurants and cafes, up to 4 people who are not vaccinated are allowed.

In addition, entertainment facilities can only be opened until 24 hours, and all other facilities have their operating hours restrictions lifted.

Mayor Chae Hong-ho held a briefing on the same day and announced quarantine measures containing such content.

According to Daegu City’s Gaepen Plan, the detailed direction of the reorganized distancing is △inoculation completion rate, intensive care unit/bed operation rate, number of deaths, number of confirmed patients, etc. will be comprehensively evaluated, and will be promoted step by step through three rounds △ those who have completed vaccination (PCR negative among those who have not been vaccinated) (including those under the age of 18 and those who cannot be vaccinated for unavoidable reasons) as much as possible relaxation of quarantine rules △Strengthening practice prevention through active participation of citizens and associations, etc. △Stopping the transition to routine recovery and implementing emergency plans to stabilize the epidemic if the medical system’s capacity is at risk, etc. am.

In addition, with this reorganization, operating hours restrictions for Dara restaurants, cafes, singing practice centers, and bathhouses will be lifted, and entertainment facilities, collaborators, and dance studios will be able to operate only until 24 hours. In the case of entertainment facilities, it was decided to review the ‘restriction of operating hours’ during the second reorganization process.

However, in some high-risk facilities such as entertainment facilities, singing practice areas, indoor sports facilities, bathhouse businesses, horse racing, bicycle racing, and casinos, the ‘Vaccination Certificate/Voice Confirmation System’, which can only be used by those who have completed vaccinations and those who have tested negative, will be temporarily introduced and applied. This is the policy, said the city of Daegu.

In order to improve acceptance at the site, a one-week training period will be set and intensive public relations will be conducted.

Events and gatherings are permitted with less than 100 people regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated. However, large-scale events with more than 100 people were allowed to have fewer than 500 people only for those who completed vaccination. In addition, events such as non-regular performance halls, sports competitions, and festivals with more than 500 people will be tested after approval by the competent ministries and local governments.

Private meetings can be held with up to 12 people regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated. However, in the case of restaurants and cafes, where there is a high risk of infection due to eating, the number of non-vaccinated persons will be limited to a maximum of 4 (up to 12 persons including 8 persons who have completed vaccination).

Religious facilities are allowed to engage in regular religious activities up to 50% of the total capacity, including those who have not been vaccinated. However, activities with a high risk of infection, such as eating and vocal airways, are prohibited.

Previously, Daegu City held a meeting of the general quarantine countermeasures group on the 28th, and the number of confirmed cases in the range of 100 has been occurring for two days in a row. It was agreed that the transition to

At the meeting, the task force also discussed in-depth measures against quarantine, as well as checking preparations such as patient classification, home treatment monitoring, specimen and testing capacity, and epidemiological investigation, in preparation for a surge in the number of confirmed cases after the phased transition to daily recovery.

◇ Strengthen quarantine measures in preparation for ‘With Corona’… Organize a daily recovery promotion team

The city of Daegu has also prepared measures to prevent the spread of infection in accordance with the step-by-step transition to daily recovery.

Preemptive examinations are conducted once every two weeks for patients and users who have not been vaccinated in facilities vulnerable to infection, such as nursing hospitals and facilities, where group infections have continued recently. It was decided to strengthen quarantine measures for facilities vulnerable to infection, such as extending it until the end of the month.

In addition, additional vaccinations (booster shots) for workers in nursing homes and psychiatric hospitals and inpatients will be administered earlier from the 1st of next month with the remaining vaccines at the Vaccination Center.

The ‘Corona 19 Overcoming Pan-Citizen Countermeasures Committee’ was changed to the ‘Corona 19 Daily Recovery Pan-Civil Countermeasures Committee’, and the ‘Daily Recovery Promotion Group’ was newly formed to discover practically achievable tasks in the field and in everyday life based on autonomy and responsibility. We will do our best to ensure that voluntary quarantine is implemented smoothly.

In order to introduce home treatment according to the step-by-step recovery of daily life, a ‘home treatment TF’ was newly established to select a home treatment partner hospital and to prepare an emergency transfer system. We plan to take strict measures to manage quarantined people.

Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin said, “The number of confirmed cases is rapidly increasing due to group infections in some facilities at the time when the return to daily life, which took the first difficult step through the suffering and patience of many citizens, begins. We urge you to participate more actively in ‘periodic ventilation’, ‘observe basic quarantine rules’, and ‘vaccination’ so that you can move forward one step at a time to a safe daily life.”
