David James Says Liverpool Shoundn’t Increase Salah, Mane Offer

Former Real Madrid star David James has ruled out a possible offer to renew the contracts of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. “Liverpool are looking to find a replacement for the Egyptian and Senegalese player,” he said.

Rumors are rife that the two players, who have made Liverpool one of the strongest teams in Europe, are likely to leave the club as they enter the final year of their contracts. James says the two are looking at other clubs because Liverpool’s offer to renew their contract is not acceptable, but there is no possibility of extending the offer.

Speaking to Goal, James said that Liverpool’s recruitment model and strategy, as Salah and Mane are the best players in the club, wants him to stay as a fan, and that they do not expect players to be there at the same time.

David James has pointed out that Louis Diaz came to the club in January and said it was part of Liverpool’s plans. He added that Liverpool would not be willing to renew the contract if Salah’s offer was not accepted by the player and that it was not part of the club’s structure.

Of the two players, David James hinted that Mane was the most likely to leave the club. James says the player, who has won every possible trophy with Liverpool, as well as the African Cup of Nations, cannot be prevented from leaving the club.
