Daycare centers also pass quarantine… “Vaccination of adolescents is strongly recommended”

Half of the recent cases are children and adolescents who have not been vaccinated or the elderly who have not been vaccinated.

The government decided to apply the quarantine pass to daycare centers to reduce the infection of children, and workers in nursing homes decided to test twice a week for Corona.

28 nursery teachers and alumni were infected with COVID-19 and closed their doors.

As daily life begins to recover, group infections in daycare centers are increasing.

Last month, there were an average of 22.4 cases per day related to day care centers, and in November alone, it recorded 51.3 cases in the first week.

There are many cases where the infection is mainly transmitted from school staff or family members.

Moreover, because children are not vaccinated, the infection spreads quickly.

“Children and adolescents have weaker immunity than adults and are easily infected. Since there are many asymptomatic cases, early detection is difficult…”

Accordingly, the government decided to apply the ‘Quarantine Pass’ to daycare centers just like a singing practice center or an indoor sports facility.

In the future, if outsiders want to enter the daycare center, they must submit a vaccination certificate or a PCR negative confirmation within 48 hours.

In the case of kindergartens, we are considering applying the quarantine pass after consultation with the Ministry of Education.

The government has strongly recommended that children aged 12 to 17 years who are vaccinated should get the vaccine.

The primary vaccination rate for adolescents was 30.5%, which was much lower than that of adults.

“The situation has changed. In the past, there were not many confirmed cases (children and adolescents). However, in the present case, the number is quite large, so it is best to get vaccinated early (I tell you).”

The government has decided to actively implement booster vaccinations for the elderly and increase the PCR test for nursing hospital workers from once a week to twice a week.

Concerning the lack of beds for critically ill patients in the metropolitan area, he announced that it would secure 52 more beds by issuing additional orders to secure quasi-intensive care beds at seven general hospitals.
