Thodupuzha: The incident where an elderly man was found dead at Thodupuzha Muttate Lodge has been confirmed as a murder. Yesudas, a native of Thiruvananthapuram Marthandam, was found dead. Muttam police arrested the neighbor Ullas in the case. Police said personal enmity was the reason for the murder.
Yesudas was found dead at the lodge in Mutta on January 24. The police concluded that it was suicide as a bottle of poison was found near the body. But the police confirmed that a blood clot inside the head was responsible for the death after a post-mortem report revealed that it was murder.
On January 19, a fight broke out between Yesudas and the accused Ullas in the lodge. Police said Yesudas hit him on the head during the argument and Ullas escaped. The police suspect that more people are involved in the murder. The accused was produced in court and remanded in custody.
