Deepika Padukone is all set to star in Baiju Bawra starrer starring Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali Ranveer Singh. According to Bollywood Hungama, the producers fired the actress after she demanded the same reward as Ranveer, who is also Deepika’s husband in the film.
It is reported that Deepika has said no more or less than Ranveer. Deepika Padukone is currently the highest paid actress in the country. Deepika Padukone has previously complained that actresses are not paid equally.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali cast Deepika and Ranveer in the lead roles in the 1952 remake of Baiju Bavra starring Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari. Earlier, the trio had acted together in films like Ramlila, Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat. Deepika played the lead role in two of the three big hits.
