Defendant arrested for trying to tie up resort owner and rape wife

Kannur: A youth accused in more than 15 cases, including tying up a resort owner in Kottiyoor and attempting to rape his wife, has been arrested by the police in Visakhapatnam.

Rojas (Jismon-33), a native of Thottilpalam, was arrested on several charges including gang rape and attempted murder. Peravur DySP TP Jacob, SI EK Ramesan, ASI K Sivadasan and CPOs K.S. Mahesh, P. Rajeesh was arrested.

Rojas was arrested after a five-day search in Visakhapatnam. The search was carried out with the help of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Department following information that he was involved in a case of smuggling 75 kg of cannabis there.

Rojas is the first accused in the case of tying up a resort owner in Kottiyoor and trying to rape his wife. Similarly, Kasaragod is also a defendant in a case.
