Shardul Thakur is the player that Delhi Capitals acquired with great expectations in the last IPL mega auction. Thakur took 15 wickets in the season and scored 120 runs while batting. There was criticism at the time that Shardul Thakur, bought for Rs 10.75 crore, was not performing as per the price tag.

The BCCI has instructed the teams to submit the list of reserve players before November 15. The auction will be held in the middle of next month. Last time it was a mega sale, this time it will be a small sale. BCCI has shortlisted five cities as auction venue namely Istanbul, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
