Delta joins forces with “BOI-IEAT-Praksa Municipality” to launch the first “Smart Farm” for the community

Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited held the launch ceremony of Delta’s first Smart Farm Solution for community enterprises in Thailand.

by Delta Smart Farm It is part of the BOI project under the name Investment Promotion Measures for Grassroots Economy which is a joint project between the BOI Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and Phraeksa Subdistrict Municipality The goal is to promote investment to support community enterprises and increase the competitiveness of Thailand’s foundational economy.


This IoT-powered Delta Smart Farm solution is uniquely and optimally designed to meet the needs of local community enterprises in Thailand. It is controlled by world-class VTScada software with the following Delta industrial automation equipment:

o Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
o Motor speed control device (VFD)
o Touch screen control system Human Machine Interface (HMI)
o Industrial 4G wireless router

This solution leverages automation to improve efficiency, reduce manpower and save water. There is a 5.4 kWp Solar Rooftop system that is used 100% for smart farm operations. There is a reverse osmosis wastewater treatment system that allows the waste water to be reused again to reduce water consumption. by the water recycling system There is only 10% to 20% water consumption compared to normal demand. In addition to installation and use Delta Thailand’s expert engineers will support local businesses through a full range of training and customer service.


Delta is working with Phraeksa Municipality to select Paradise Forest Ngamwan Community Enterprise as a 3-year pilot community enterprise for this first solution in Thailand. The project is expected to grow into a feasible business model. At the same time, it also helps to improve quality and set standards for agricultural products to enter the market in the future.
