Geneva: The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning to countries around the world as new variants of Kovid are being reported in more countries. World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Gabries said the increase in covid cases due to the Omicron and Delta variants could be detrimental to the health system itself.

The WHO also said that the Delta and Omicron variants were “double threats”. He said this would lead to a record number of new cases, as well as an increase in the number of hospital admissions and deaths.
Globally, the increase in cases last week was 11 percent. The US and France reported the highest numbers on Wednesday.
