Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BASD) Naogaon district branch organized this hour-long program in front of Shahid Minar at Mukti Mor Shahid Minar in the city on Tuesday around 4 pm.

Speakers in the human chain said that Sultana Jasmine’s death in RAB custody is a violation of existing laws. He was unfairly removed only on the basis of a verbal complaint. RAB is responsible for such an unusual death of Sultana. Human rights and democratic rights have been violated by arresting a woman in this way. RAB has also given thumbs up to the law.

BASAD Naogaon district committee coordinator Zainal Abedin (Mukul) spoke in the human band, BASAD Naogaon district branch advisor Altaful Haque Chowdhury (Arab), Samajtantrik Sramik Front district committee president Kalipad Sarkar, BASAD district committee member Mizanur Rahman etc.

Zainal Abedin said, if Sultana Jasmine had committed any wrongdoing, she could have been tried according to the prevailing laws of the country. But there was no complaint against him in the police station till he was arrested. There was no arrest warrant. RAB committed injustice by arresting him on the basis of only one complaint.

He also said that such death in violation of the law is a gross violation of human rights. He should be brought under the law if he is found guilty in the incident through a fair and impartial investigation of the incident of Jasmine’s death. He also claimed that otherwise such incidents will continue to happen.

President of Samajtantrik Sramik Front district committee Kalipad Sarkar said that we have seen the activities of RAB in the past and how they tried to justify disappearances, murders and murders by bringing forward lies by covering up the truth. Its reflection was seen in Naogaon. He urged RAB to withdraw from these activities.

Noting that there may be some personal interest behind it, he demanded a fair and impartial investigation of this incident immediately.

Sultana Jasmine was arrested from Mukti Mor area of ​​Naogaon city at around 11 o’clock last Wednesday. Then he died at Rajshahi Medical College (Ramek) Hospital around 9 am on Friday.

Sultana Jasmine used to work as office assistant in Chandipur Union Land Office of Naogaon Sadar Upazila. RAB Commentary-Sultana Jasmine was accused of cheating. He was detained for questioning in view of that complaint. Later he fell ill and died under treatment.
