Despite losing in the first round, Anshu Malik hopes to win a medal again; Repshage will compete in the round

Tokyo: Indian wrestler Anshu Malik has another medal hope. In the women’s 57 kg wrestling, the athlete can compete in the Repshage round. Belarus’ Irina Kurashina defeated Malik in the first round to advance to the final, where she won a bronze medal in the Repshage round. The Belarusian won the first round 8-2.

Malik will face Bulgaria’s Evelina Nikolova in the Rapshaw round. In the second round, Kurashina defeated Nikolova. If she wins, she will compete with Valeria Koblova of the Russian Olympic Committee. If he wins, Malik will win bronze.

Earlier, Ravi Kumar Dahiya reached the final in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling. In the semi-finals, the Kazakh player defeated Sanayev in a last-minute big comeback. India secured its fourth medal at the Tokyo Olympics. In the men’s 86 kg category, Deepak Poonia lost in the semis. The star will compete for the bronze.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya is the fifth Indian wrestler to reach the Olympics wrestling final. He is also the first Indian wrestler to reach the final after Sushil Kumar. Ravi Kumar’s final will be held tomorrow afternoon.
