Wellington: Fans are disappointed when the New Zealand-India T20 series begins on Friday. The villain is Wellington’s torrential rain. The disappointing news comes while fans are waiting for the performance of young Indian stars including Sanju. The series consists of three T20 and ODI matches each. The Wellington Meteorological Center says there is a chance of rain at times. It is reported that there will be rain in the afternoon with light winds. The temperature can drop to 14 degrees.

Field report

The pitch in Wellington has traditionally supported the innings. There will be no change in the first T20 as well. The spinners will struggle to take wickets but they will be sensational in conceding runs.

Williamson will direct

The New Zealand team was announced yesterday. Kane Williamson will lead the team. All the prominent players who played in the T20 World Cup retained their place in the team. Spinner Ish Sodhi and Blair Tickner only play T20 matches. Matt Henty and Tom Latham will only play in the ODI series. Henty Nicholls will replace James Neesham in ODIs.
