Director Ranjan Pramod said that films are given to OTT to make money in Chulu. In that case, there is no need to shoot and release films immediately, he said. He was speaking in an interview given to a YouTube channel called Cinema Pranthan.
‘Recently my family went to see a film. They say there are no good movies in theaters. But this year, 75 films have been released in three months. It doesn’t matter that so many movies have come out. Many people put it aside thinking they can download it to OTT. I don’t know if they are doing this because they think they can make some money in Chulu. I feel that there is no need to make a film in such a hurry.
A film is not something you do for ten days. It’s an art. It is something that is made to last a long time. It should be given its own seriousness,’ says Ranjan Pramod.
In the interview, he also talked about his new film O. Baby. He said that O. Baby will be an important political film and the audience will not be disappointed.
O. Baby is a film I made in the belief that it will be a good film. It will be politically significant. This movie contains content that can be discussed forever. And I think the movie will have everything for entertainment. I hope the audience will not be disappointed,’ said Ranjan Pramod.
