Gasoline prices at domestic gas stations rose slightly for the first time in five weeks.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation’s oil price information site Offinet on the 30th, the selling price of gasoline at gas stations in the fourth week of April recorded 1,968.2 won per liter, up 0.4 won from the previous week. The selling price of diesel was 1,907.7 won per liter, up 8.1 won from the previous week.

By region, Seoul was the most expensive at 2,32.2 won, up 3.9 won from the previous week. The lowest was Daegu, which was 1,940.7 won, down 0.2 won from the previous week. This is 27.5 won lower than the national average price.

The average selling price of gasoline in Daegu was 1,948.28 won as of 1:50 p.m. on the same day. By district and county, Jung-gu was the most expensive at 1,997 won. Next, Seo-gu (1,958.56 won), Dalseo-gu (1,954.91 won), Dong-gu (1,946.88 won), Dalseong-gun (1,946.52 won), Suseong-gu (1942.69 won), Nam-gu (1938.83 won), Buk-gu (1938.42 won) followed.

International oil prices are on a downward trend due to the strengthening of the dollar and the strengthening of city blockades due to the spread of the corona virus in China.

The price of Dubai crude, which is the standard for domestic imported crude oil, fell by 5.4 dollars from the previous week to 101.3 dollars per barrel.

As the government’s fuel tax cut measures are expanded and extended from May 1, gasoline sales prices are expected to fall again.

The oil tax cut applied to petroleum products will be expanded from 20% to 30%, resulting in additional cuts of 83 won per liter for gasoline and 58 won per liter for diesel.
