“Don’t take part in Akina Nakamori’s “Red and White” tale of hating the “Onyanko Club” to the staff “Have we no shame?” | Smart FLASH[光文社週刊誌]

Akina Nakamori, a singer who was said to be participating in the end of the year “NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen” until the end. After all, the name was not included in the list of contestants published on November 16th.

In 2022, Akina established a personal office, and videos of past concerts were broadcast on terrestrial television, gaining popularity. A music official told me about it.

“Akina Nakamori had a lot of pride and was proud that she was carrying a record company label.

Since their debut in 1985, Clwb Onyanko has continued to reach number one on the Oricon Chart, including solo and unit groups. Riding on that momentum, in April 1986, the four-member unit “Nyangiras” (Rika Tatemi, Aki Kihara, Mika Nagoshi, Asako Shiraishi) appeared on Warner Pioneer (currently Warner Music Japan). The first single “Watashi wa Rika-chan” became very popular, reaching No. 1 on the Oricon Chart, and was also listed in “The Best Ten” (TBS series).

“When Akina-san was present at a TV song program with ‘Nyangiras’, she asked the employee in charge of Warner, ‘Aren’t you proud that you are one of the three major labels in the world? Aren’t you ashamed? ‘ He reprimanded him in a strong tone.” (Previously mentioned, music officer)

In fact, Warner’s team in charge of Akina was the exact same staff as “Nyangiras”. To prevent Akina from knowing this fact, the composer who wrote the song for “Nyangiras” even created a different pseudonym. For the first album “First and Last” (released in August 1986), the producer and recording staff were not credited at all. It was deliberately left out by Warner’s staff.

I checked with Rika Tatsumi, member number 15 of Onyanko Club who is a member of Nyangiras.

“It’s true that Akina-chan hates us (laughs). When we went backstage to greet her, she looked displeased. , It’s amazing to have Akina-chan admit that she ‘hates’, isn’t it?” (Tatsumi)

There is no doubt that all of them have left a great mark on the history of Japanese idols.
