Doosan and KT Wiz, who will face off in the Korean Series, announced their 30-man entries after the Korea Series Media Day held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 13th.

On Media Day, Doosan manager Kim Tae-hyung said, “I think of Miranda as the third starter. “I could pitch the bullpen, check the condition of my arm, and then reconsider, but for now, I’m fine.”
Miranda started in 28 games this season, playing 173⅔ innings, and posted a 14-5 record with a 2.33 ERA. He achieved the most strikeouts (225) in a season, breaking a record that had not been broken for 37 years since Choi Dong-won (223 strikeouts) in 1984.
Doosan also took a breather in the starting mound with Miranda’s joining. Doosan was the first to advance to the Korean Series for seven consecutive years after going through a wild card game, semi-play-offs, and play-offs in the regular season, but only Choi Won-jun and Kwak Bin were selected. Although Kim Min-gyu was used as an alternative starter, Pil Seung-jo, such as Lee Young-ha and Hong Kun-hee, appeared frequently.
With the addition of Miranda, left-handed Kyo-Hun Lee was excluded. However, veteran left-hander Won-jun Jang, who joined from the playoff entry, maintained his position.
