Double fitness challenge for Man United ahead of Liverpool match

They could be back in time for Sunday's match against Liverpool.

Manchester United's loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the first phase of their rounds of Saturday's 16-strong series of champions was increased by injuries to two main attackers: Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.

The two, who started most of the games about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, provided an important speed and movement from the ball on the pause, and they really liked the shape because José Mourinho broke. The first half saw injuries Juan Mata and Alexis Sánchez replace them, and the difference was evident.

They were expected to end for two or three weeks. However, according to her Mirror exclusive, these injuries are not so bad and were initially afraid. It is hoped that the dynamic two will now return before that three-week period is up and that it could be back on time for Saturday's competitors with Liverpool.

This would add to United, who has achieved the top four since Solskjaer took the leagues, and they remain undone, but to Burnley in a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer will want to have a good XI fit to play against Liverpool. He is now a race against time to ensure that they get back as quickly as possible.

During the last season between United and Liverpool at Old Trafford, the home side won 2-1 thanks to a first half brace from Marcus Rashford. United will be looking forward to creating another shock and the title of Liverpool hopes.

Jurgen Klopp's side is facing Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the first phase of his tie in the Champions Championship.

Whatever happens, it is intended to be a fine touch, and it will be even more intense if Martial and Lingard are suitable, and is now more likely.
