Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, Head of the Saudi Human Rights Commission Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri Appointed Head of Saudi Human Rights Commission

Jeddah: Dr. as the new head of the Human Rights Commission. Hala bint Maseed Al-Tuwaijri was appointed by King Salman. The appointment is of ministerial rank. The current head of the commission Dr. Awad bin Salih al-Awad was removed from his post and appointed one of the councilors of the royal palace. Dr. Hala Altuwaijri has held the position of Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council since July 2017. She has also served as head of the G20 Women’s Empowerment Group.

Since April 2021, he has been an Administrative Adviser in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Amira is a member of the Noora Award for Women Excellence Advisory Committee, the Cultural Program Advisory Committee of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Heritage. She is a member of the Women’s Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and the Women’s Work Committee of the Arab Labor Organization. He was Vice Dean of the College of Arts at King Saud University and Deputy Dean of the Department of English Language and Literature at the same college. Received the King Abdul Aziz Second Class Medal in 2021. He graduated from King Saud University with a BA in English Literature and a Ph.D.
