Drunken party at a resort in Bangalore; 37 arrested, including Malayalees Bengaluru Night Party 28 People arrested including Malayalees

Bangalore: Thirty-seven people, including Malayalees, were arrested in a police raid on a drunken party at a private resort in Bangalore. It is learned that the drunken party was led by four DJs (Disc Jackie) including Malayalees. The drunken party was held at the Anekal Green Valley Resort in Bangalore at midnight on Saturday.

Although no drugs, cannabis or other intoxicants were found at the party premises, the police initially concluded that it was carried out by a drunken party.

Bangalore Rural DySP Mallesh said 37 people were arrested for carrying out party activities in the restricted area and leaders Ashish and Doddamanta were also arrested in connection with the incident. The arrested persons are from various states including Kerala. It is learned that this includes IT staff and college students. Police have not released the names of the others arrested.

All three African nationals were among those arrested. 14 bikes and seven cars were also seized. The resort is owned by JDS leader Srinivas.

Police said the party held a rally in the restricted area despite Kovid restrictions and night curfew. The resort owner cannot be allowed to hold a party. The event was hosted by four DJs. The mobile phones of the arrested persons are being checked.

Although no drugs have been found, blood tests will be conducted on those arrested. If it is proved that the drug has been used, legal action will be taken. If the resort is found to be operating illegally, action will be taken against the owner Srinivasan. DySP Mallesh said the party had booked the resort in advance.
