Dubai: Dubai has decided to issue a 10-year golden visa to imams, muezzin and preachers who have completed 20 years. The announcement was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
This is a step that will benefit many religious scholars, including Malayalees. Sheikh Mohammed’s announcement is part of Eid al – Fitr.
He also said that they would be rewarded for their contributions in the field of Islamic studies and for spreading the values of tolerance. Many Malayalee Imams and Mu’addins have been serving in mosques in the UAE for many years. This decision will also be an honor for them.
