Instead, the government decided to postpone the implementation of the second stage of the gradual recovery of daily life and implement special quarantine measures for the next four weeks until the 26th of next month, and then decide whether to implement the second stage again.

During the special quarantine measures, the target of additional vaccination will be expanded to all adults 18 years of age and older, and the interval between vaccinations will be shortened to block the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, in order to solve the problem of beds reaching saturation, the confirmed patients decided to secure as much as possible intensive care beds based on home treatment.

◇ Home treatment for confirmed patients is basic… Administrative order to secure hospital beds in the metropolitan area is spurred

First, the basic treatment policy for COVID-19 patients will be changed to ‘home treatment’.

All confirmed patients stay at home and receive treatment, but only when home treatment is impossible, such as when there is a hospitalization factor or when the residential facility is vulnerable to infection.

In the metropolitan area, outpatient/short-term treatment centers are operated for at-home treatment in case of emergency or short-term hospitalization.

◇ Booster vaccination is extended to all adults… Early booster vaccinations are also allowed.

The booster vaccinations that were being carried out for people over 50 years of age, those who received Janssen vaccine, those with underlying diseases, immunocompromised, and occupational groups with priority vaccination will be expanded to general adults over the age of 18.

Accordingly, even those aged 18 to 49 can receive the booster vaccination five months after the completion of the primary vaccination.

However, if there are personal reasons such as overseas departure or medical treatment, the vaccination interval can be extended by one month.

For example, those aged 60 years or older who can receive booster doses at 4-month intervals can receive early booster doses at 3 months, and those aged 18 to 59 can receive early booster doses 4 months after the primary dose. If the existing vaccination interval is set to 2 months, such as those with reduced immunity, early vaccination is excluded.

Advance reservations start from the 2nd of the next month, and you can select an inoculation date 2 days after the reservation date.

In addition, the government has set an effective period of 6 months for the quarantine pass (inoculation certificate and negative confirmation system) to increase the booster vaccination rate.

Even if you have completed the basic vaccination, if you do not receive additional vaccinations after 6 months (additional vaccination interval of 5 months + grace period of 1 month), you cannot use multi-use facilities or facilities vulnerable to infection to which the quarantine pass is applied.

◇ Intensive vaccination of ‘Booster Shot’ in facilities vulnerable to infection and the elderly from November to December

The government set the period from the 26th to the 30th as the intensive period for booster vaccination in vulnerable facilities as group infections occurred in facilities vulnerable to infection such as nursing hospitals and nursing facilities.
