West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is retiring from international cricket. The player will retire after the final Super 12 match against Australia. Yesterday, Bravo announced his decision to retire after the match against Sri Lanka. The player, who announced his retirement in 2018, withdrew the announcement the following year. Bravo, who has played in 90 international T20s, has taken 78 wickets and scored 1245 runs. Bravo was part of the team that won the Windies T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016.

Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 20 runs yesterday. Chasing Sri Lanka’s target of 190, the West Indies were bowled out for 169 in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Shimron Hetmeyer was the Windies’ top scorer with 81 not out. Along with Hetmeyer, Nicholas Pooran (46) was the only batsman to make the double. For Sri Lanka, Vanindu Hazaranga, Chamika Karunaratne and Binura Fernando took two wickets each.
