DYFI: DYFI served pork and beef at the Food Street protest

Pork and beef were served during the protest in Ernakulam. Former MP Dr. Inaugurated by Sebastian Paul. Earlier, DYFI responded by hosting a beef fest following a controversy surrounding beef.

Kochi: Beef and pork were served on DYFI’s Food Street in protest of the Halal Food controversy. DYFI Food Street protests were held in all major cities under the slogan “Do not mix religion with food”. Pork and beef were served during the protest in Ernakulam. Former MP Dr. Inaugurated by Sebastian Paul. Earlier, DYFI responded by hosting a beef fest following a controversy surrounding beef. Beef fests were held across the state at that time. Since then, DYFI has come out strongly despite the now halal controversy. When the DYFI announced that it would hold a Food Street protest, there were questions from some quarters as to whether pork would be served. In response, pork was served with beef.

BJP leader Sandeep Wachaspati had yesterday asked AA Rahim if he would serve pork. ” Some people have doubts about what food will be on Food Street.
