Economic Opportunity, Quality of Life: Dubai II; Survey | Dubai | Gulf News | Gulf News | News from Middle East

Dubai is the second largest city in the world in terms of economic opportunities. Dubai ranks third in liaison and interaction with the authorities. The findings are based on the Cities of Choice Global Survey by Boston Consulting Group. According to a survey conducted in 2019-20, Dubai has been ranked in the top five in a row among the 16 largest cities in the world.

Dubai came in second with 72 points on creating economic opportunities and living standards. New York ranks first. Dubai finished third with 73 points in terms of communication with the authorities and satisfactory interactions.

Ranks one and two are for Singapore and Toronto. The survey looked at living standards, economic opportunities, the pace of change, and the relationship between the authorities and the people. In all, Dubai scored 55 points.

The survey was conducted among 70 cities around the world. BCG MD Christopher Daniel pointed out that the success of the city lies in the satisfaction of the residents and in living up to their expectations. He attributed the success of a city to attracting talent, enhancing economic viability, fostering mutual trust and cooperation for big projects, harmonizing the interests of different communities and finding immediate solutions to issues.
