Four people have died in a strong earthquake in Ecuador. The earthquake happened off the coast of Ecuador. The US Geological Survey reported the magnitude of the earthquake as 6.8. It is said that the death toll could rise further (Ecuador earthquake at least 4 killed)
The local media reported that a number of buildings and houses were damaged in the Guias region. A building collapsed on top of a car in the town of Cuenca, killing one person. Three people died in Santa Rosa.

Khaleej Times reported that several people were trapped in the debris. The 2016 earthquake that killed nearly 600 people was Ecuador’s worst earthquake.
