Quito: At least 24 people have been killed in a clash between inmates at a prison in the Ecuadorian coastal city of Guayaquil.
More than 48 people were injured. After hours of hard work, the army and police took control of the situation.
The attack began when the inmates of the jail split into two groups. The altercation between the two sides culminated in shootings, stabbings and explosions.
