A deep regret overwhelms the family of this publishing house, after the sudden physical departure of one of their best colleagues
Ivan José Gutiérrez Mosqueda, chief operator of the rotary the newspaper, died by immersion this Tuesday morning in El Playón de Ocumare de la Costa.
“El Pollo”, as he was affectionately known among his friends and colleagues, would be 57 years old next Friday, but misfortune touched his life when, upon rescuing his 21-year-old son from the strong waves, he fainted, preventing him from get out of the sea alive
The terrible news was announced by his wife, which was immediately regretted by the members of this publishing house, Mr. Iván’s home for more than 35 years.
His colleagues assured that he was a gentle worker, collaborator, blameless, with few but excellent words.
“He said the right thing at the right time,” commented one of those who shared with this great man in the newspaper press with dismay. the newspaper.
“He knew that machine like nobody else,” said Héctor Clemente, a longtime friend who, together with Iván, has managed the machinery of this newspaper since the year it was founded.
He said that Iván learned the “art” of operating newspaper printing machines from his father. “His father was one of the best operators in Caracas and his son learned from him, so much so that she started working at the age of 15.”

A LIFE WITHOUT AMENDMENTS
José Martínez, head of transport for the newspaperstated that he will always remember “The chicken” as a great co-worker, faithful to his ideals.
“I met him 25 years ago, enough time to become familiar with a person, those of us who knew him highlighted his personality, his sense of collaboration and service.”

For his part, José León, also one of the first employees of this publication, raised prayers for the rest of a great friend and asked for strength for his wife and two children.

“I still do not believe that his death is a reality. I will remember him as a great friend, attentive, a super collaborator, unconditional in any situation, he was careful in his work”.
He recalled that he met him in 1986, and he always proved to be a good father and companion. “I think as a friend he was excellent and so he will live on in our memory.”

“Our job is to guarantee that a quality product is printed,” is how Iván defined his work in his last interview for what was his workplace for much of his life.
