The former captain of the Eperviers du Togo, Emmanuel Adébayor made a surprise visit to the premises of the Reference Hospital in Togo, formerly Pelegrin, now DOGTA-LAFIE. This center offers radiography, mammography and 64-slice scanner services at a promotional cost. Having learned the news, Emmanuel Adébayor had gone to visit the hospital complex.
On March 24, 2023, the medical team of the DOGTA LAFIE Reference Hospital received the former captain of the Sparrowhawks Shéyi Emmanuel Adébayor at its premises. The football star, according to the information that reached us, spent more than an hour visiting. Opportunity for him to visit the block of consultations, imaging, VIP hospitalizations and especially the dental office where he was also briefly consulted; the hospital rooms.
Moved by the quality of the infrastructure and its equipment, Mr. Adébayor congratulated Mr. Faure Gnassingbé for the initiative carried out by the national social security fund (CNSS).
After the brief consultation, the former captain, before leaving the premises, made two promises: to return to be consulted and treated at DOGTA LAFIE and above all the promise to commit himself as Ambassador of this Reference Hospital in order to contribute to its international influence.
The trip that the former captain made gives joy to the staff who say they are surprised. For Doctor-Colonel AKATA Eyouvéî, Medical Director of the DOGTA LAFIE Reference Hospital, his visit is a very good thing.
“ADEBAYOR Emmanuel Shéyi gave us a pleasant surprise by visiting our various departments today. We went out to greet him when security at the entrance told us he was there. We explained to him how the Hospital works. He made the promise to come back and especially to be the Ambassador of DOGTA LAFIE. It was a very good surprise”, rejoices Doctor-Colonel AKATA Eyouvéî, Medical Director of the DOGTA LAFIE Reference Hospital.
Known at the beginning under the name of Saint Pérégrin Hospital, officially, this center bears the name of DOGTA LAFIE. For the director of the Cnss, the new name enhances the national languages of Togo, explained Mrs. Ingrid Awadé. And to say that, the new name pparticipates in the will of the authorities and the populations of an appropriation of the project…After the works, while the activities have not started, the complex offers radiography and mammography services and has made its 64-bar scanner operational. All at a “promotional price”.
DOGTA LAFIE is built by the CNSS. It is located in Agoè-Nyivé on the N°1 National Road and covers an area of six hectares. Nearly a year ago, the Hospital Management Company (SOGEHP), in charge of its operation, opened up its capital. Objective, to strengthen the contribution of the private sector within the framework of the improvement of the health offer.
Remember that it was February 2019 that the construction of the hospital had started. Several reasons explain the delay of this jewel which will be added to the health centers of the country.
As a reminder, last April, the Spaniard PNHG announced that it had just been awarded the contract to build two 3 and 4 star hotels on a 12,000 m2 site, adjoining the hospital complex located in Agoè. This hotel complex is an important part of the project
